At Copart if Winning Bidder Does Not Pay Does it Go to Next Bidder?

At Copart, if a winning bidder fails to pay for a vehicle, it will not be just awarded to the next highest bidder after 8 days. Instead, the vehicle is listed again for a future auction. Copart will also charge the original winning bidder a re-list fee, normally $600.00. That fee does not go to the seller.

Why Not Award The Next Bidder?

This could be for many reasons, but most commonly because it's possible the bidder found an alternate vehicle or the buyer's needs may have changed since it takes 8 days for the payment window to elapse.
