How Do I Find Out What My Puerto Rico Vehicle Import Tax / Excise Is?

To find out what the import tax /excise tax will to ship your ship a car to Puerto Rico:

Go to SURI, which is the online government portal. There you select your language (English or Spanish). Then tap/click the link near the bottom that says "services" (Servicos). You will go to the services page and to "Look Up Vehicle Information" (Buscar información de un vehículo). Enter either your VIN (recommended) or if you do not have it you can enter the Year, Make, and Model. (Año, Marca, Modelo)

Steps To Search the Import / Excise Tax for Your Specific Vehicle:

suri select english
Select Language Español (Spanish) or English.
services link suri
Scroll down and pick "Services" (Servicos). You do not need a login.
suri look up vehicle info
Go to "Look Up Vehicle Information" (Buscar información de un vehículo).
enter VIN or Year Make Model
Enter either the VIN or the Year, Make, and Model. (Año, Marca, Modelo) Please note the VIN may be more accurate.

If you enter a year make and model instead of a VIN, it may show you several results. See the tax costs for your specific sub model / trim on the column to the right. Not sure which one is yours? Check with the VIN instead.
