Acura Vehicles

Acura is the luxury vehicle brand for automaker Honda. Acura made its debut in the 1980’s with the idea of making a performance brand with a focus on luxury to compete with the a market dominated by German vehicles. They were the first of the 3 big japanese manufacturers to make this move, which was very successful. In the 1990’s they began producing SUV’s as did parent company Honda which were also successful sells. At first they were simply rebadged SUV’s from another auto maker. But soon enough they began making their own, starting with the MDX This SUV soon became a bestseller. The Integra (later replaced by the RSX) is still a fan favorite and one of the heavily upgraded and modified vehicles the brand has ever released. With the Civic on one side, and the Integra on the other, Honda nearly cornered the then popular “tuner” market. Acura was not only going after the luxury car market and sport tuning, but the high end performance market. They did so with the NSX. Many consider original NSX timeless with its design lines and abilities. Since then their refinement has only increased and are highly competitive with their market. Today, Acura is a premium luxury brand with a lot of loyal customers coming back again again.
